Strategy Notes
How to think about FPL
Captain a fixture, not just a name
Your captain’s points are doubled, so the choice should be about who has the easiest fixture that week — not just who scored last week.
Don't chase last week's points
A huge haul often pushes a player’s price up and his next fixture gets harder. React to underlying chances created, not the scoreline.
Bank transfers when in doubt
Saving a free transfer gives you flexibility for injuries or fixture swings later — it’s rarely wasted.
Watch fixture swings, not just one game
Plan transfers 2-3 gameweeks ahead by looking at a run of fixtures, not a single match.
